The police have arrested three more people after the shooting and stabbing incident in Coevorden this morning. Among them is the suspected shooter.
The shooting and stabbing incident happened this morning at the Oystercatcher in Coevorden. Two people were injured. One from a gunshot wound, the other from a stab wound. Shortly afterwards, one of the suspects, an underage boy, was arrested.
Tonight, police arrested three more suspects, including the suspected shooter. They have been taken to the station and are being interrogated there.
The police do not want to say what exactly happened to the Oystercatcher this morning. Mayor Renze Bergsma said in a response that he was shocked by the shooting and stabbing incident. “Fortunately there were no fatalities,” he said. “Weird that this is apparently the order of the day.”
