The bloody violence on the day the Jewish state celebrates independence appears to be part of a new wave of attacks by Palestinians and Israeli Arabs. More than ten people have been killed since the end of March.
Earlier in the day, top Israeli judges agreed to expel about 1,300 Palestinians from an Israeli army training ground in the occupied West Bank. An Israeli human rights organization strongly criticized the decision.
