Three people were seriously injured in a collision between two cars this afternoon. The accident happened on Achterberglaan in Uithoorn. It is unknown how the accident could have happened and an investigation is currently underway. The road is closed indefinitely, a police spokesperson said.
The cars collided around 2 p.m. The police speak of a ‘very serious’ accident in which several ambulances, fire trucks and a Mobile Medical Trauma Team (MMT) arrived on the scene. Three injured people were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The police are urgently looking for witnesses or camera images.
