FC Volendam remains undefeated at home again. It became 2-1 for the home team. Carel Eiting and Oskar Buur scored for the Palingboeren. Tijjani Noslin scored a goal against, so that the three points remained in Volendam.
FC Volendam was supported against the Limburgers by a sold-out stadium. In the first minute, the supporters immediately saw a great opportunity for Robert Mühren, who was allowed to start again in the base. He completed the ball over Fortuna Sittard’s goal. In the opening phase, Carel Eiting shot wide, but otherwise it was grim and angry in Volendam.
Balls were handed in on both sides and as a result the game barely got off the ground. That changed in the final phase of the first half, after Thomas Buitink (on Filip Stankovic) and Tijjani Noslin (on the crossbar) created danger. It was Eiting who scored the opening goal. Walid Ould-Chikh, who also started in the base, gave the cross and the captain tapped in: 1-0.

The good feeling of the first half was expanded by Volendam after the break. First two shots by Mühren and Eiting were blocked and a bet by Derry John Murkin also went wide. He gave the assist to Oskar Buur’s 2-0. A hard cross from Murkin went hard for the goal, after which Buur scored. His first in the service of Volendam.
Nothing seemed to be wrong, but that turned around when Tijjani Noslin scored 2-1. He made the connection goal on a pass from Umaro Embaló. The goal scorer from Amsterdam was also dangerous moments later, but that header went in front of the goal. In the final phase, the small position kept it tight for the Volendam team, who expanded their undefeated status at home. Since November 12 last year (FC Utrecht, 0-4), Volendam has not lost in its own stadium.
The victory lifts FC Volendam to thirteenth place in the ranking. Vitesse has three points less and will play against PSV on Sunday afternoon. After the international break, Volendam will visit FC Utrecht.
