FC Barcelona was in big trouble in Saturday’s La Liga round. The Catalan hosts rose from a two-goal deficit to a 3–2 victory.
Celta Vigo already took a 2–0 lead in the match when Anastasios Douvikas finished in the 76th minute. Then the Barcelona letter started.
The game clock ticked in the 81st minute, when Robert Lewandowski finished of João Félix preliminary work. A moment later, Lewandowski was free again in Celta’s box. This time the preliminary work was served João Cancelo.
Cancelo, who moved from Manchester City to Barcelona, was a key acquisition. Kiri ended with his 3–2 goal. Cancelo saw the space and sprinted into the box. Gavin the cross fell straight to the foot and the Portuguese finished with one touch.
All three goals of the home team were scored within eight minutes.
From their six matches, Barcelona has accumulated five wins and one draw. It jumped in the standings, at least for the time being, to the top spot in La Liga. Real Madrid, breathing down their necks by a point, will play in a hot derby against Atlético de Madrid on Sunday.
Girona also continued their feats on Saturday. It organized a goal celebration against Mallorca and won 5–3. Girona, like Barcelona, has 15 points.
