Witnesses there also heard a huge bang. Both buildings are damaged. No injuries were reported in these explosions, police reported.

Just after 11 p.m. an explosion took place in Galjootstraat on IJburg. Fire brigade and specialist police units are still working on an investigation there.

Several major cities in the Netherlands have been regularly shocked by explosions in recent months. The Dutch police suspect that the incidents are related to the criminal environment.
