Three dead in storm Ciarán in Italy, state of emergency in Tuscany

Storm Ciarán has caused three fatalities and extensive damage in northern Italy. The heavy rainfall in particular causes problems. The Italian news agency ANSA reports that an 85-year-old man drowned in his home in Prato, a few kilometers from Florence, because he was probably unable to escape the rising water in time. Another person also died in the region around Prato. The third victim fell on the Tuscan coast.
