Jitters at Anouk Middel as soon as there is talk about the Drenthe 1000. Not only because the Radio Drenthe presenter feels like playing beautiful records at the end of December, but also because it means that she has to compile a list of favorite songs.
And that turns out to be quite difficult for Middel, who gets quite spoiled for choice when asked what her favorite Drenthe record is.
“I find that so incredibly difficult,” the cheerful presenter admits. Because, she emphasizes, there are so many beautiful songs in Drenthe or made by artists from Drenthe. But when the pressure is slightly increased, a classic comes to mind.
“Then Cuby has to go in, with Window Of My Eyes.” Whether the legendary Cuby + Blizzards song is played in the car or at home, Middel gives the audio button a crank so that it sounds nice and loud through space. Last year the number was in fourth place in the Drenthe 1000, who knows, maybe Middel’s tip will ensure a top 3 ranking this year.
