Three brothers win three medals at the World Cross Duathlon Championships

Thibaut won in the U23 class, but his time was also the best of all elite duathletes, making him world champion there at a young age. Other brother Thibaut De Smet (21) finished right behind him, in second place in the U23 category. Benjamin Matteo De Smet (18) completed the party with a bronze medal in the juniors.

Just like in a normal duathlon, cross duathlon consists of a cycling and a running part, but mountain biking replaces road cycling. The duathletes also usually complete a cross run instead of a running course on the road.
