Three boys arrested for violent dirt bike theft

Three boys have been arrested for the violent theft of a dirt bike in Bergen op Zoom, three others are still wanted. This is reported by the police.

The theft happened on Sunday, in the Koepelstraat in Bergen op Zoom. A man wanted to sell his dirt bike and had made an appointment with a buyer to do so. But six men showed up for that appointment. They threatened with a firearm and took the dirt bike.

Three boys could be arrested around half past nine: a 15-year-old boy from Steenbergen and two 18-year-old men from Halsteren. Three others are still on the run. The dirt bike has not yet been found either.

Wrong dirt bike
Later on Sunday, the police reported that three men from Woensdrecht had been arrested with a stolen dirt bike. But that appears to have nothing to do with this case, it concerns another theft. That motorcycle was stolen from Belgium. A 19-year-old and a 21-year-old man from Bergen op Zoom and a 20-year-old man from Hoogerheide have been arrested for trespassing.
