Three biggest polluters: China, India and Russia, will not send head of state to climate summit

The climate summit in Egypt (COP27) that starts on November 6 is not without discussion. The dubious host country is not known as a major climate player and does not consider human rights to be of paramount importance. Nevertheless, international pressure is being placed on the summit. It is a “now or never” principle for climate movements. Many countries therefore also send their state leaders to the top, but there are three major absentees. Together they are in place 1, 3 and 4 in terms of climate polluters: China, India and Russia. They are responsible for more than 40 percent of all CO2 emissions in the world, but will not send their head of state to the most important climate discussion of the year.
