Three 11-year-olds and trainer of the Pinoké hockey club threatened with a knife: “Extremely shocked”

Four perpetrators tried to rob three members and a trainer of that club on Wednesday evening near the Pinoké hockey club in the Amsterdamse Bos. Two men threatened three 11-year-old boys and demanded their valuables, while at the same time two boys pulled out a knife to rob a trainer.

Three 11-year-old boys were approached by two men near the Pinoké hockey club in Amstelveen on Wednesday around 5 p.m. Those men told the boys to hand over their phones, bicycles and other valuables. They even threatened to pull a knife.

“Fortunately, a group of hockey players came cycling from the club,” board member Jochem Fockema Andrea tells NH. The robbers saw this and quickly cycled away, without the boys’ belongings.

Screaming loudly

Around the same time, a trainer from the hockey club was approached by two boys. Those boys tried to take her phone and pulled a knife. The trainer started shouting loudly, causing the boys to startle and run away quickly.

Even before these incidents took place, the hockey club advised its members not to walk or cycle alone through the Amsterdamse Bos, but the day before yesterday the club made another emphatic appeal: “We urgently call on our members not to go to training or competitions alone.” come, but in groups, preferably with the whole team,” they write website.

“We are very shocked,” says Jochem. A local police officer will visit the hockey club today to discuss how the perpetrators can be traced and how such situations can be prevented in the future.

A police spokesperson confirms that it was a street robbery, but cannot provide any further details. The victims will only come by today and tomorrow to report the crime.
