Threat passers-by with gun in Coevorden: man gets another tbs

A 34-year-old ex-tbs’er from Coevorden has been sentenced to nine months in prison and TBS with conditions for threatening random passers-by with a gun. The man has had a TBS in the past.

The man brandished a converted pistol in his hometown in November last year. He confronted three people with the weapon. He shouted, “I’ll get you.” The third person also received a blow to the back of the head. That is abuse, according to the judge.

Based on camera images and his description, the man was arrested shortly afterwards in the center of Coevorden on a stolen scooter, with the gun in his pocket. According to the judge, the theft itself has not been proven, but the possession of stolen goods (healing) and a prohibited weapon has been proven.

The man had been drinking a lot during that period and had also stayed awake for nights on end. He was ‘lost’ for a while. The deeds can be blamed on him to a lesser extent because of the psychological and antisocial disorders. The man is addicted to drugs and alcohol.

With this new TBS measure, he has to undergo rigorous treatment again, but without forced nursing. If the man does not comply with the conditions, he will still disappear into the tbs clinic. He has to pay one of the victims 2500 euros in damages.
