The capture of Russian skiers is horrifying in Sweden.
A symbol supporting Russia’s war of aggression was seen at a skiing event organized on the outskirts of Moscow in February, says a Swedish newspaper Expressen.
Before the start of the ski competition, about 10,000 Russian amateur skiers organized themselves in the shape of the letter Z at the starting line.
In connection with the rapture, a member of parliament Irina Rodnina read the president of Russia Vladimir Putin speech, says Euromaidan Press in the X message service.
Swedish skiing star Maja Dahlqvist totally freaked out when I saw a picture of a ski race.
– Is it true? It feels like it’s completely sick. But they probably had no other choice, Dalhqvist told Expressen.
Swedish skier Frida Karlsson agreed with Dahlqvist, calling the picture terrible.
– A little scary. I really want to keep sports out of politics, but this is terrible, 24-year-old Karlsson said.
Norwegian media VG was one of the first foreign media to report on the rapture.
– The organizers asked if people would come to support the military special operation. Everyone understood, no one objected to it, Russian officials wrote, according to the paper.
Russian and Belarusian skiers have not been allowed to compete at the international level since Russia’s full-scale war of aggression.
