Thousands of Moroccan fans celebrate a football party in Brabant cities

Large groups of Moroccan football fans celebrate their national team’s victory over Spain at various locations in Brabant. In the Eindhoven Kruisstraat it even became so busy that the police kindly asked the partygoers to leave.

Police on horseback were already present in the Kruisstraat during the game. After the riots in cities such as The Hague and Amsterdam earlier this World Cup, it was feared that things could also go wrong in our province.

That seems to work so far. Thousands of Moroccans do gather to celebrate that their stars managed to shoot the Spanish team out of the tournament after penalties. In addition to Eindhoven, it is also busy in places in Den Bosch, Tilburg and Breda, among others.
