BVThomas Vanderveken (41) and Véronique Leysen (36) have become mom and dad again. Leysen gave birth on June 1. The couple announced the news themselves on Instagram.
Véronique Leysen has given birth to a boy again. The couple already have two sons together: Otto and Isaï. The little sprout was named Romeo. Leysen and Vanderveken also shared a first selfie on Instagram. Congratulations are also pouring in on social media. “Congratulations”, says Tatyana Beloy, for example. And Zita Wauters, the daughter of Koen Wauters, also left a similar message.
At the end of January, Thomas and Véronique announced the happy news. “A miracle has been in the making for 5 months. Otto and Isaï will have a brother or sister,” it sounded on Véronique’s Instagram account at the time. Thomas Vanderveken had the following to say: “Father is happy because number three is coming”. Otto, the couple’s first son, was born in 2017. Isaï followed three years later, in 2020.
Vanderveken and Leysen have been in a relationship since 2008. They first bumped into each other at an afterparty of ‘Star actor, star artist’. “I presented that show on One and in the studio in Lint there was also a box where a party was given after the program. I walked in after an episode to have a drink and saw a young woman standing in the light of a fixed spotlight at the bar,” Thomas said in Story. “She laughed very profusely. I thought, ‘Wow! What a woman!’ The gold splashed from the mountains. I absolutely wanted to get to know that handsome, inspiring appearance. I was also single at the time, so it was possible.”
Fortunately, the feeling was immediately mutual: “When I drove home, I quickly received a message: ‘Want a coffee?’ I then replied that I would immediately turn around if that would be with her alone. I turned back, and that’s where we really started talking. It was love at first sight. Pretty soon after that, it became clear that we saw a shared future.”
