Chelsea FC was blocked on the transfer market for a long time and could not sign any players. But now the “blues” are slowly gaining momentum.
Chelsea are about to sign star striker Raheem Sterling. The England international comes from Manchester City and, according to media reports, is due to complete the medical check this Sunday. The Athletic report that the fee is £47.5m, which is around €56m.
Sterling, 27, is said to be on a five-year deal and is keen on the vision of Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Vice European Champion lost his place at Manchester City this season. In previous years he was the undisputed first choice, which was no longer the case at the beginning of the 2021/22 season.
At Chelsea, Sterling should be used in the variable storm formation both in the center and on the wing and harmonize with players like Kai Havertz or Mason Mount. By moving to London, he is moving to his hometown, where he spent most of his childhood.
