Thomas Müller made his 113th appearance in DFB uniform against Italy and thus overtook his former teammate and 2014 world champion Philipp Lahm in the ranking of the “eternal” German international team list.
The two deserving players share fifth place. Manuel Neuer was between the posts for the 110th time.
Lothar Matthäus is still the undisputed leader in the list of record players with 150 games ahead of Miroslav Klose (137) and Lukas Podolski (130).
