‘This won’t work out’

Fidan Ekiz has completely broken down at the Op1 talk show table for unclear reasons. At one point, the presenter was the only one laughing. “This is not going to work out.”

The Thursday episode of Op1 started very strangely last night. The presenter on duty, Fidan Ekiz, was the only person at the table who was completely in a tear. She held her leaves to her mouth and disrupted the complete announcement of the guests, which is of course not very respectful to the people at the table.

‘Isn’t going well’

Even after the leader of Op1, Fidan is still laughing. “Excuse me. These are our guests. No, this won’t work out. We start with the news today.”

The painful thing is that the other guests at the table keep themselves neatly in the fold. What exactly is so funny is not clear at any time. Fidan’s laughter starts for the viewers in any case immediately after an announcement by NOS Journaal presenter Winfried Baijens.

“There’s Sports”

Winfried has a cheerful chat with colleague Tom Egbers in the thirty seconds before the Op1 broadcast. “More about that later in the late NOS Journaal. There is also sport, Tom.”

Tom measured up to that: “Yes, there is sport.”

Winfried then smiles: “And that was it?”

Tom: “Yes, it is a very nice sport. Cycling and Lieke Klaver, you know them?”

Winfried: “You see all that after Op1 with Sven and Fidan. See you later.”

No thigh chatter

A cheerful get-together, but of course no reason to burst out laughing. What is going on then remains unclear. Fidan does not make any further announcements about this. Perhaps it concerns an attempt to end up in a New Year’s overview with ‘funny’ fragments.

Frank Zeijlemaker, director of a consultancy firm, is annoyed by Fidan. He tweets that he prefers to watch her co-host Sven. “I think Sven Kockelmann usually does well. Especially in 1-on-1 interviews, when he is not hindered by Fidan Ekiz.”
