Antoine Peters in GTST
Antoine is in the first minutes of GTSTto see episode 6545. Who exactly does he play? Himself! As a newsreader, he tells about Richard van Nooten (Edwin Jonker), who has escaped from prison. Never before has a well-known newscaster appeared in the soap. Other celebrities, such as Chantal Janzen.
Spectacular Escape
“An escape from prison De Nieuwe Schalk. Drug smuggler Richard van N. managed to escape from the penitentiary in a spectacular way. Van N. was recently arrested in Italy for cocaine smuggling and had to serve his sentence in the Netherlands,” we hear Antoine say. “A helicopter was used in the escape. Van N. was picked up while airing in the courtyard.”
Thanks to Ludo
Ludo (Erik Vogel) and Janine (Caroline de Bruijn) watch the news broadcast on a laptop. “That’s all right, all’s well that ends well”, Ludo responds. Richard was wrongfully imprisoned for drug smuggling by Ludo. But under pressure from Janine, Ludo eventually helped him escape.
Exit Richard and Billy
Now Richard has fled abroad. His sweetheart Billy de Palma (Lone van Roosendaal) went after him. The departure of their characters also means the exit for both actors.
