Who is willing to pay 2,500,000 euros for a 360 square meter penthouse with a golden crown on the Schiehaven in Rotterdam? Immediately before delivery, real estate agent Cristie’s organized a VIP tour. “We suspect that it will be an Amsterdammer.”
“You don’t just sell a penthouse,” says real estate agent Leslie de Ruiter of Christie’s International Real Estate. “Certainly not one of the most expensive in the Maasstad. You have to do something extra for that.”
So the real estate agency organized a Penthouse & Art VIP Viewing for people with a large purse in the soon to be completed residence with the gold-coloured facade on the 8th floor. With snacks and drinks, provided by the neighbor: restaurant Gold by Herman den Blijker. And an exhibition with art objects that makes the heart of the Rotterdam millionaire beat faster.
“Cheers,” says the elevator operator, on the ground floor of the apartment complex on the Schiehaven, directly opposite a refugee boat with Ukrainians, after he has filled a glass with champagne. “Have fun with the tour.”
