Eliminate religion and morals, more and more schools are asking. Radical, but Simonnet primary school in Sint-Martens-Latem already removed those subjects last year. And with success, says director Paul Lauwers. Suddenly there is time for everything we want children to learn at school – from first aid to dealing with money and from gender identity to the dangers of social media. And the parents? “Their greatest fear was: can our children still make their communion?”
