‘This really affects me’

Gordon’s TV appearances have literally been a crying shame lately. At least for himself. He was recently in tears during his highly criticized comeback interview with Beau van Erven Dorens and on Saturday evening he made his emotional appearance in the program Verborgen Verleden. Tears are also rolling down his cheeks.

‘This touches me’

The program delves into his family tree and that makes Gordon emotional. A certain Martin Heuckeroth appears to have had a musical family with eight sons in 1860. “I really think this…” Gordon begins.

The family tree digger then: “Unbelievable, isn’t it? They were a super musical family and so they performed together.”

Then Gordon starts crying. “It especially affects me because I discovered that I have super musical ancestors, who were also very famous in the nineteenth century.”

‘I’m proud’

Gordon himself doesn’t know why he gets so emo about it. “I don’t know where this came from.”

The family tree digger: “Maybe because here you also see where your musicality partly comes from. It really runs in your family.”

Gordon is now proud of his surname, he says. “Those Heuckeroths, that name, I always hated it. I used to get teased a lot about it, but now I’m proud, since today actually. Really proud that my name is Heuckeroth. Wow.”

Without bangs

It is noticeable that Gordon has his old hair again during this TV appearance, so it was recorded a very long time ago, notes Bart Ettekoven in Show news. “It’s the old Gordon, so without the pony. I’m curious to see what he will get in terms of criticism and opinion, because the interview with Beau has not left him cold.”

Hopefully it won’t be too bad this time, says Bart. “I hope so, because that last interview turned out so badly for him. And knowing Gordon, he always finds it difficult when he receives criticism in interviews, so I’m curious to see what this will bring.”
