Hein Pieper is the party chairman of New Social Contract. The former CDA member is dijkgraaf of the Rijn en IJssel water board and chairman of the Stichting Steunfonds Groep Omtzigt, which collects money for his political movement. Pieper had already been a confidant of Omtzigt in recent months and was closely involved in the founding of the party.
