After his convincing victory at the Japanese Grand Prix, Max Verstappen now really has the world title up for grabs. In fact, if nothing crazy happens, he can uncork the champagne at the upcoming race in Qatar. And there is a good chance that the decision will not be made on Sunday, but on Saturday. What time should you switch on? We list all the times for you.
A sprint race is already scheduled for the Losail International Circuit one day before the Grand Prix. The winner of this will receive eight points. Verstappen knows that sixth place in the sprint race is in any case enough to secure his third world title. If teammate Sergio Pérez, the only one who in theory can keep him from the world title, does not score the maximum number of points, a lower ranking will suffice for Verstappen.
But Verstappen will aim higher and want to give his third world title extra shine with a victory in the sprint and main race. It would be his first victory in Qatar, because the Formula 1 circus is only arriving there for the second time. For the time being, only Lewis Hamilton’s name is on the honors list. He won there in 2021.
