Radio presenter Olga Keto was remembered on Radio Suomen’s broadcast on Monday evening.

Radio host Olga Ketonen died Saturday morning, February 3, in hospital.
Olga K Yle’s long-time radio voice known as Yle’s real name Tuula Ketonenwas 59 years old when he died.
Over the years, he hosted on several Yle radio channels. Since 2014, his voice has been heard on Ylen Radio in Finland.
On Monday evening, Ylen Radio in Finland remembered Ketonen’s long career as a radio host. The live broadcast will be hosted by people familiar with Radio Suomi Hanna Kataja-Rahko and Jyrki Hakanenwho were Ketonen’s colleagues.
In the memorial broadcast, music related to Ketonen’s life and Ketonen’s favorite songs were played. The broadcast included, for example, songs by The Smiths There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, Timo Kiiskinen interpretation of the song Blue chordNeon 2 song ChemistryLeevi and the Leavings song Teuvo, king of roadsby The Beloved Sweet Harmonya song by Prince Nothing Compares 2 U and Madonna’s hit song Vogue.

Radio host Harri Moisio said on the broadcast that Madonna had a special place in Ketonen’s life. He describes that Madonna was “a very important subject” for Olga.
– Even though Olga had an extremely versatile taste in music, Moisio added.
Madonna performed in Helsinki’s Jätkäsaari in 2009. The gig in question has stuck in Moisio’s mind especially because Olga got to the gig. Moisio himself missed the concert.
– That gig was talked about for a long time, Moisio laughs when he remembers Keto.
From Tuula to Olga
Reporter of Radio Suomen Juha Blomberg remembered Keto as a colleague and friend. In the broadcast, he also discussed how Tuula Ketos became Olga K.
We have to go back in time to the 1980s, when Ketonen studied at Otava College in Mikkeli.
– There was a person who developed the characters for everyone as a teacher at Otava Opisto. They did a play where Olga was Olga Kirilemko as, Blomberg recalled on air.
After the play, Ketonen started using the stage name Olga K.
Colleagues and friends described Keto as a sensitive, flamboyant, direct, caring and open personality and radio host. At the same time, however, they stated that Ketonen often belittled his own professionalism and that if he was talked about.
– He renewed radio expression. He got not only admirers, but also imitators. Many wanted to be Olga, but you can’t be next to her, the broadcast stated.
– He was also annoying because he had a strong style.
According to Harri Moisio, Ketos had a special ability to relax the interviewees during an interview situation. He made the interviewees speak honestly and directly in a safe space.
– The preparation was also unique, he added.
ATTE KAJOVA
Several people also pointed out humor about Ketos. The broadcast recalled, among other things, Ketonen’s participation in a week’s skydiving course. On the official day of the jump, Olga was nervous and unsure of her own skills, but she did not dare to refuse the jump.
Finally, Olga jumped, but instead of the ground, she landed on a tree half a meter high.
– Olga had shouted: “Yes, I am Satan’s tuner!”, the broadcast recalled.
According to his colleagues, the statement in question described Ketonen’s attitude towards life and the fact that you can add a touch of humor to all things in life.
– Olga’s motto was: “Ease is not attractive!”, Kataja-Rahko said.
