Husband Blake Shelton is touching with personal words: “When I met her, she was anything but a typical celebrity.”
Gwen Stefani was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (October 19). She was accompanied at the ceremony by her three sons, 17-year-old Kingston, 15-year-old Zuma and nine-year-old Apollo. Above all, her husband Blake Shelton, who is himself a very successful country singer and songwriter, accompanied her – his speech moved the 54-year-old to tears.

Blake Shelton on Gwen Stefani: “Motherhood is the most important thing in her life”
In his speech to Stefani, the country star highlighted her dedication as a mother: “Almost 10 years after I first met her, I can say without a doubt that being a mother is still the most important thing in her life,” he explained to the audience.
“That’s really rare in this business.” As Stefani visibly teared up, Shelton continued, “Today she’s being honored for her side project – being one of the biggest stars in the world. In my opinion, Gwen is exactly the right person for a star on the Walk of Fame. She has consistently demonstrated excellence in areas ranging from music, television and film to fashion and beauty. Her unique style has made her popular worldwide. But no one loves them as much as I do.”
In May of this year, Stefani’s husband was also awarded a star himself. This was the speech the musician wrote to Blake Shelton:

After her ceremony, Stefani expressed her gratitude on Instagram: “Who would have thought that this girl from Anaheim would have her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thank you for walking this journey with me and singing with me all these years… I love you!!!”
