After the Belgian royal family announced in March that it would receive refugees from Ukraine, the Oranges as well as the chickens. The Government Information Service (RVD) announced at the end of March that on behalf of the king, about six to eight families will temporarily move into Het Oude Loo castle in Apeldoorn.
Rented by Oranjes
The Oude Loo is located near Paleis Het Loo, which has been a museum since 1984. The Oude Loo is a 15th-century hunting lodge owned by the Dutch State and rented by the House of Orange, who still regularly use it for family gatherings.
