Hayhattu and Felt Slipper will premiere at the beginning of the year.
The beloved characters created by the Nopola sisters, Hay hat and Felt Slipper, will soon be on the big screen again.
A hay hat, a blanket slipper and a chicken -film premieres on February 16. Supervisor Reetta Aalto describes the film as “a story about friendship and a little jealousy.” According to the director, the film also leads to thinking about the relationship between humans and animals and each other.
The sisters are seen in hay hats and felt slippers Eedla and Klaara Höglund. The other roles feature familiar faces from previous films: Niina Lahtinen and Joonas Nordman as parents and Janne Kataja and Lari Halme as Isonapa and Rillirousku constables.
The film is based on Sinikka and Tiina Nopola’s children’s book of the same name, which was one of their last joint books and their last joint film script. Sinikka Nopola died in January 2021.
