This is what the new Bravis hospital in Roosendaal will look like

The new Bravis Hospital will be located in a landscape park with lots of greenery and water features. There will be a special exit on the highway to prevent nuisance in the surrounding residential area. This is evident from the sketch design presented on Monday.

The new building replaces the current Bravis hospitals in Roosendaal and Bergen op Zoom. The Bravis is, next to the Amphia, the second hospital in West Brabant. At the location on the edge of Roosendaal, care will soon be provided to residents of West Brabant and the eastern part of Zeeland.

Residents of the Tolberg district fear that the arrival of the new hospital will cause traffic nuisance for visitors and suppliers.

Seen from above, the new hospital on the outskirts of Roosendaal takes on the shape of a cloverleaf. The building will be a maximum of 24 meters high. The architects worked together with a large number of Bravis employees for the design. Due to the specific shape of the building, everyone can see the green environment from the inside.

The ground floor will include the emergency room, the GP station and the restaurant. The outpatient clinic is located on the first floor. The operating theatres, the maternity ward and the intensive care unit are on the second floor. The other nursing departments will soon be located on the third and fourth floors.

A parking building will be built close to the main entrance of the hospital. There will also be cycle paths through the landscape park, making the hospital easily accessible by bicycle.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2026. The hospital should be ready in 2029.
