There is a lot of buzz about the murder threat against Tim Hofman. An armed man entered the BNNVARA building on September 6 to kill him. The images shared by Tim show him wearing a shirt with rolled-up sleeves, loafers, gray pants and a pink wig.

Shoot Tim dead

Well, that wig was added afterwards by Tim, to mask the suspect’s face. That afternoon at 3:25 p.m., the man walks through the entrance and reports to reception. “He wears sunglasses and carries a bag,” Tim says in a new episode of ANGRY. “He indicates that he wants an autograph from me.”

The receptionist does not trust it, says that Tim is absent and sends the man away. However, the presenter was indeed present: he only leaves the building at 5:24 p.m., after which the man returns at 8:42 p.m. “This time the man does not ask for an autograph, but says: ‘I’ll tell you in advance: I’m coming to shoot Tim Hofman.’”

Weapons drawn

When the security guard calls the police, the man walks outside. There he is arrested by the police with their weapons drawn. According to Tim, this concerns a white, single adult man of 41 from Breda, who is single and has children with an ex-partner. He is said to have mental problems.

According to Tim, the man converted to Islam years ago. “He also had a note with him that day that said he was coming to shoot Tim Hofman and that he was coming on behalf of Al Qaeda.”

Indoctrination

However, that was out of intimidation, according to Tim. The man is mainly anti-woke and adheres to conservative ideas. For example, he mentions the ‘LGBTQ+ indoctrination of children’. “The man says in the interrogation that he is against everything he sees as woke and extreme left-wing and that he feels limited in his freedom.”

He continues: “I would have said somewhere that he should not call himself white but white. He does not say when and in what context that was said. He says he feels hurt and sees the left as a danger to his children and the country.”

Dangerous fool

All in all, Tim has narrowly escaped a dangerous madman. “Afterwards he told the examining magistrate: ‘If I had hit Hofman that afternoon, I would have shot him dead.’”
