D-XEL is ready for a new, exciting beginning – and the Danish label is starting it with its FW23 collection. D-XEL has put together a cool collection with new colours, new styles and new looks, spread over two delivery dates for girls and boys in August and September.
FW23 for girls
Not only the colors have changed for this year’s autumn/winter collection, but also the themes that determine the styles of the collection. There are three different themes: College, Color Prints and Classic Youth.
Starting with the first theme, styles for August feature signature varsity styles – sweatshirts and t-shirts with large prints across the front and signature raglan sleeves. For this theme of the collection, D-Xel has also oriented itself to the modern zeitgeist and designed the styles in reduced versions – this resulted in a super cool look that can be perfectly combined with wide trouser legs like from Nynne or with the new trousers with cargo pockets .
Colorful prints are not missing in this collection either – D-XEL does not resort to dusty floral prints, but takes a wilder approach to the selection of patterns and uses them in knitwear, dresses, tops and leggings made of different materials. Pink, red, black and blue pieces are presented in an all over print with hearts or animals.
But D-XEL also offers classic looks – with a youthful twist. The tops – short blazers, tops, blouses and knitwear – are played with different lengths, the colors remain neutral and can be easily combined with lots of black, sand, gray and khaki.
When it comes to the bottoms, D-XEL varies between classic tight or wide leather pants, pants with wide legs, cargo skirts and quilted skirts – the possibilities in this collection leave nothing to be desired. Rib knit is also well represented, with nice knits and pants.
FW23 for boys
The boys’ collection is inspired by a casual, rural and American style inspired by working in nature. To make the look as authentic as possible, D-XEL worked with materials, colors and contrasts.
The label focuses on warm knitwear with trimmings on the shoulders, wide checked shirts and vests made of linen – a rustic rib quality serves as the basis. This is combined with pants made of raw denim and hats.
For a more individual look, the collection offers shirts and T-shirts in terry cloth and, for the braver ones, trousers in velvet.
Finally, the collection picks up on workwear elements, with red scarves, T-shirts with a washed look, as well as cargo trousers and caps. Some styles are based on manga – Japanese comics. The different styles of the boys’ collection can be combined with each other through a coordinated choice of colours.
