– Dr. Haukio’s outfit was Nordic-simplified in its lines. On the other hand, the sleeves of Innes-Stubb’s dress were loose and decorative. British dressing culture is a bit more decorative and his cultural background was visible here, Saukkola says.
The expert points out that a black outfit is always a stylish choice for such a festive occasion.

Attention to gentlemen’s suits
For gentlemen, the etiquette was even more precise, and the occasion was not one where one’s own personality is emphasized. However, the style expert drew attention to the outfits of presidents Sauli Niinistö and Alexander Stubb.
– Both had very fitting suits. When looking at Republic President Stubb’s suit, it fit well on the shoulders, for example. Stubb is an athletic and thoughtful man, so the fit of the suit is even more essential, says Saukkola.

– You can also imagine that when Dr. Haukio is no longer in the role of the president’s spouse, he can express himself in a new way by dressing. 46-year-old Haukio still has time to make a long career, Saukkola says.
