Ilka Bessin became world famous as Cindy from Marzahn. With a wig and a pink jogging suit, she made fun of all the clichés of Hartz 4 life for a few years, even made it to the (quick-witted) assistant to Markus Lanz in “Wetten, dass..?” and in the famous New York Times, who sensed a new German sense of humour.
At some point the hustle and bustle became too much for the cabaret artist Bessin, and in 2016 she put an end to her star role. Also not to be further committed to it. Later she spoke of depressive phases that made it impossible for her to continue on this artistic path.

So now the return of Cindy from Marzahn! Six years after the last appearance as a ghetto girl, RTL recorded four episodes of “The Cindy from Marzahn Show” in Halle (Saale) in mid-May.
It is not yet clear when exactly the programs will be shown in the station’s program. First it was said a few months ago that only a farewell show was planned, which would indicate the uniqueness of the undertaking. However, there is currently no further information on this.
However, the private broadcaster announced that some guests would do nonsense together with Bessin – including Paul Panzer, Sascha Grammel, Bülent Ceylan and Mario Barth. So it seems to be a kind of RTL event, which may be continued if it is successful.
