Bread and porridge are Finns’ favorite breakfast foods, according to a recent study commissioned by Fazer.

According to the survey, Finns most often eat bread (66% of respondents) and porridge (40% of respondents) for breakfast on weekdays.

And of course, we shouldn’t forget coffee, which 71% of respondents say they drink in the morning.

According to the survey, Finns think the most important thing about breakfast is that it tastes good, is prepared quickly, is healthy and keeps hunger at bay for a long time.

According to the study, the breakfast preferences of Finns and Swedes are very similar, but there are also differences. When asked what the respondents most often eat for breakfast, in Finland the answers emphasize porridge and cold meats, while in Sweden they eat more eggs, muesli and cereal.

– Taste and practical aspects are important to Finns. Swedes’ answers emphasize the holistic experience more than Finns, in addition to taste, the breakfast must look good, says Mia Koivistoinenproduct manager responsible for Fazer Alku products in the press release.
