The prestigious Helsinki restaurant Elite served the so-called Loiri menu to invited guests on Wednesday, the purpose of which is to present the restaurant’s new portion to the public. At the same time it was revealed Vesa-Matti Loirin new title dose.
Elite will also announce the artist’s base table on Wednesday.
Fat sauce
In order to honor the memory of the late artist, Elite will serve the traditional läski sauce of the Loir in the future. The menu describes the dish as “a long-simmered pork sauce served with mashed potatoes”.

The dessert on the menu has also been thought out according to Loir. The title menu of the interpreter, who lived his last years in Lapland, is crowned by a dish called Lapland summer. The portion includes lacquer parfait with kuusenkerkkä financier.
The whole is crowned by coffee, which is accompanied by a drink called Angerkoski.
Loiri, who died last August, was often seen in a workers’ restaurant. During his lifetime, Loiri also had time to hope that his loyal customers would be taken into account later somehow.
