Unsafe balconies in Zeist flat: ‘Get 20,000 stamps from all over the country
In the largest flat in the Netherlands, the infamous L-flat in Zeist, it happened again. Both the front and back are currently being propped up with a total of 20,000 stamps hastily flown in from across the country. There would be no immediate danger, but residents are only allowed to enter the galleries with a maximum of three people at a time. Heavy items must also be removed from the balconies immediately. The L-flat and the adjacent Geroflat, both from the 1960s, have been experiencing problems for years. Former residents remember it: things regularly spontaneously fell from balconies. The unrest is back.
