‘The Coco Chanel from Eindhoven ‘La Strijbosch’ is going to leave her penthouse.’ For example, the sale of the luxury penthouse of the Eindhoven fashion diva Marjan Strijbosch is announced by her broker. The cottage is for sale for almost 3.5 million euros. The penthouse is therefore in the Funda top three of most expensive homes in Eindhoven.
“It’s such a shame. It’s the most beautiful thing I have, but I’m hardly ever there. I only use it to have cocktails with friends.” Strijbosch tells her story by telephone from Florida, where she also has a house.
She never wants to give her age, but she says herself ‘forever 39’ to be. She just got back from yoga when we speak to her. “I just own too many houses. We also rent a villa every year for a number of months in, for example, Bali.”
Her penthouse in Eindhoven will therefore be given a new owner, for 3,450,000 euros to be precise. At least that’s the asking price.
You should not be afraid of heights, on the 28th floor of the tallest building in Eindhoven. Her penthouse in the Admirant is at a height of ninety meters. It took three years to convert the penthouse to Strijbosch’s wishes with nine-meter high ceilings. “I had plasterers come from Paris to make the ceiling.”
“I asked five million euros.”
Inside, she’s given it a Hollywood look. The penthouse also served as a backdrop for TV recordings and photo shoots. Previously, she did not want to sell and it was for rent for 13,000 euros per month.
It has only just been put up for sale, but she already received an offer last year. “Last year I had an offer of 4.3 million euros. I did not accept that. I asked five million euros. The broker has now come and said I had to go down.”
Strijbosch started with a small shop with self-designed children’s clothing in Breda and grew into a self-made multimillionaire. She grew up through her fashion store Jaguar Mode, which she sold in 2015. Before her wedding five years ago, she had Gordon as the wedding officiant. She only let go of the exact costs of the party that you can buy a nice Rolls-Royce from it.
