This is the opening act in Munich

On June 1st, the Rolling Stones celebrate the start of the European part of their “Sixty” tour to mark the 60th anniversary of the band’s founding in Madrid. On June 5th it’s off to the Munich Olympic Stadium – and on July 27th Gelsenkirchen is on the agenda.

In Munich, Mick Jagger and Co are supported by the heavy rock band Reef. The Brits formed in 1993 and with “Glow” they also have a number one album in their catalogue. Their LP “Shoot Me Your Ace” was released recently. It’s no coincidence that “Shoot Me Your Ace” is already being celebrated by critics as the best rock album of the year.

Reef vocalist Gary Stringer: “Playing shows is just magical. You go on stage and unload all your energy into the audience and it comes right back. It’s a special feeling that makes every musician addicted and spurs them on to keep going, giving it their all and just rocking out. Being able to tour with the Rolling Stones is a dream come true for all of us and we couldn’t be happier to play with you in Munich. Germany – we will give everything and rock you!”

Reef are used to big stages, recently toured with Coldplay and are also regularly represented at the big festivals. The meeting of the Stones and Reef is a family affair, by the way auH. Reef guitarist Jesse Wood, who has been with the band since 2014, is Ronnie Wood’s son.
