This is the man who shot someone on a full terrace in Tilburg

The 24-year-old man who is wanted as a suspect in a shooting in Tilburg has been identified by the police. It concerns Thomas Nelom from Drunen, the police announced on Monday. A 29-year-old Tilburger was injured in the leg in the shooting. The police suspect that the suspect is abroad.

Earlier, the police shared an unrecognizable photo, his first name and the first initial of his last name and called on the man to come forward. He hasn’t done that so far. That is why the police are now showing him recognizable and with his full name.

Full terrace
Thomas Nelom is suspected of shooting a Tilburger on June 12 on a full terrace at the Heuvelring. The police have CCTV footage that would show that. The suspect’s brother, Lucas, was standing next to him.

The two ran off, brother Lucas was arrested that same evening. His brother escaped despite warning shots from a police officer. A firearm was later found on his escape route, which has been seized.

Visit to the fair
The reason for the shooting, which the Public Prosecution Service sees as an attempted murder, is still not clear. Nelom and the victim would only know each other from a previous visit to the fair. The victim himself says he has no idea why he was shot.

Lucas is still in custody and is suspected of complicity. He announced in a pro forma hearing that he no longer wanted anything to do with his brother. He fears that his brother is going to charge him for the shooting.
