A new shooting has claimed at least six lives in Illinois (United States), a city 50 kilometers north of Chicago, during one of the parades on the occasion of the national holiday of July 4, Independence Day.
Even with the perpetrator on the run, there are already first suspicions by the local police, which has managed to develop a profile of who it could be. Also, Commander Chris O’Neil has asked neighbors to seek shelter, because it is considered that the author of the shooting could still be “armed and dangerous”.
Thus, according to the police, the author of the highland park shooting has used a rifle, and it would be a white male between the ages of 18 and 20, still on the run.
Thanks to citizen collaboration, they have been able to define – apart from age – that the young man has long black hair, that he has a small build and that he was wearing a white or blue t-shirt.

Several witnesses had informed local media that the young man was shooting from a roofsomething that the security forces are trying to determine, O’Neil explained.
With this shooting, at least six people have died and two dozen are seriously injured. And security forces have recovered a firearm used by the suspect, police said.
