This is Piet Adema, the successor of Minister Henk Staghouwer. This ‘handy lightning’ must regain the trust of agriculture

Piet Adema (57), born in Opeinde in Friesland and living in De Wilgen near Drachten, is the successor of Agriculture Minister Henk Staghouwer. After nine months, De Groninger realized that he was ‘not the right person’ to steer the Netherlands out of the nitrogen crisis.

Piet Adema, the new Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, spoke to the press. Adema was previously deputy of the province of Friesland, acting mayor in Achtkarspelen, Tynaarlo and Borger-Odoorn and party chairman of the ChristenUnie.
