‘This is not good to talk about’

Peter Gillis incurs the wrath of Talpa Network now that it turns out that he lied outright, also to John de Mol’s media company. “This is not good to talk about.”

Not only to the general public and the media, but also to his employer Talpa, Peter Gillis has denied for weeks that he was arrested by the police. The reality star has spent a night in jail for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Nicol Kremers, with whom he is now on holiday. He has now confessed that.

Talpa is angry

Talpa thinks it’s bad that Peter lied to the company about this. “Peter and Nicol have also withheld their private situation from Talpa. That is not good to talk about. We blamed them both for this. They have apologized for this,” a spokesperson told Shownieuws.

Actually, a new season of Family Gillis: Massa is Kassa would start on Tuesday, September 6, but will it still continue? “There’s no point in speculating now.”

“Put him aside!”

Private boss Evert Sanwaarden thinks Peter is very stupid. “SBS is a station that insists that their stars behave,” he says, dead serious, in his podcast Strictly Private. “They will then just calmly consider: do we continue with this program or do we wait for the case? This is just really stupid.”

Telegraaf journalist Jordi Versteegden finds Talpa’s attitude very shrugging. “I think that reaction is pretty weak, because they say: ‘We still don’t want to respond substantively because Nicol has not yet stated’, but here it is first and foremost that Peter Gillis, their employee, simply lied.”

He continues: “Then you just put someone like that aside or not?”

Very sorry

Peter is incredibly disappointed with his media tactics. He admits to De Telegraaf that he is ‘extremely sorry’ that he lied. “I did not handle this well. But I’m a person with a heart of gold and everyone makes mistakes sometimes.”

Weekend boss Bart Ettekoven in Shownieuws: “They actually let you know, through that spokesperson, that they didn’t really know what to do with all the hectic and at that time did not know very well how to react and started sending out holiday photos out of panic and have shouted that it did not concern them.”
