When baking buns, it is important that the eggs and butter are at room temperature when you start making the dough.

You can also leave the egg out of the dough. A milk-free bun, on the other hand, is easily created by replacing milk with water or, for example, oat drink and butter with vegetable margarine.

Mylläri’s product developer Riina Karimaa know how delicious buns are created. Try Riina’s ear wax recipe in honor of Ear Wax Day.

approx. 16 dl wheat flour

150 g of butter

Filling

Butter, sugar and cinnamon

4. Pour the bun dough onto a floured table and roll it into a disc about half a centimeter thick.

5. Spread soft butter on the surface of the plate and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top according to your taste.

6. Roll the sheet into a roll and cut it diagonally into pieces about three centimeters thick. Place the pieces on the tray with the narrowest point facing up. Press the top down with your finger.

7. Cover with a cloth and let it rise for about 30 minutes, brush with egg and put granulated sugar or almond chips on the surface if you want.

8. Bake at 225 degrees for about 10 minutes.
