This is how Ville “Viki” Eerikkilä’s life became easier after the morning broadcasts ended

Despite great life and career changes, presenter Ville “Viki” Eerikkilä admits that he sometimes misses morning radio work.

It’s been over a year since Ville “Viki” Eerikkilä, 38, quit morning radio work. Eerikkilä and his host couple Juuso “Köpi” Kallio33, managed to entertain Finns in the mornings for seven years.

The host couple has continued to work together even after the radio work. The best friends have been seen, among other things Viki and Köpi in the Show mixed In the tourism program of Vik and Köp. Eerikkilä is by no means tired of working with his best friend.

– It’s good that he has remained (as a working partner). We have a lot of fun with Köpi, whatever we do. I believe that we have added quite a lot more things to do (after morning radio). I hope we will work together for a long time, he says to Iltalehte.

– We have been able to do a lot of things that we didn’t have time to do on schedule during the radio era. After all, we had radio work five times a week, while our current show comes three times a week, he adds.

For the presenter, life without a radio has somehow been a new phase of life. He describes how refreshing it has been to find a new way of working. In addition, he feels that his life has changed a lot in terms of schedule, because he no longer has to wake up early in the morning to work.

Despite the great changes, Eerikkilä is not going to deny that he misses something from working in radio.

– For me, radio is the number one love of the media and that’s where I started my career. You can never say never, so I’m sure at some point in my life I want to go back to the radio.

– Morning radio has its own spirit and feeling when you and your friend are alone in the studio, when no one else has even come to work yet. I guess you miss it a little from time to time, Eerikkilä admits.

However, according to the presenter, nowadays it has been easier to combine the current work patterns with the family schedule. It is nice for Eerikkila that after the end of his radio work, he can enjoy his mornings with his child, who was born in the summer of 2021.

– I think it’s nice that I wake up with my daughter in the morning and we can watch the little one and eat breakfast. Of course, as soon as he wakes up, he wants to go do something, while I want to hang out, he says with a smile.

Finally, Eerikkilä reveals which trait she feels her daughter has inherited from her father.

– At least I’ve noticed that he likes to perform and try to make people laugh. I don’t know if my sense of humor has been inherited from him, but at least we laugh at the same things at home, he reflects.
