This is how Vesa-Matti Loir was remembered at the funeral

Artist Vesa-Matti Loirin On Tuesday, numerous public figures arrived at John’s Church for the funeral.

Supervisor Mika Kaurismäki already knew about Loir’s deteriorating health in the spring. Kaurismäki says that he has known Loir since the early 80s.

Actress Katariina Kaitue described the late Loir as a warm-hearted, great artist.

– We were supposed to do a joint evening, where Vesku would have also participated, but it was not done this time.

Saisio remembers Loir from the same circle of friends.

Dancer Jorma Uotinen met Loir in the early 70s when he visited the National Opera as a singer.

– We have known each other since then, Uotinen said.
