Artist Vesa-Matti Loirin On Tuesday, numerous public figures arrived at John’s Church for the funeral.

Actress Katariina Kaitue described the late Loir as a warm-hearted, great artist.
– A great loss for all of us Finns. He is a completely unique artist, but fortunately there are many recordings that we can enjoy, Kaitue told Iltalehte.
Kaitue says that he worked with Loir for the first time in the 90s.
– We were supposed to do a joint evening, where Vesku would have also participated, but it was not done this time.

Saisio remembers Loir from the same circle of friends.

Dancer Jorma Uotinen met Loir in the early 70s when he visited the National Opera as a singer.
– We have known each other since then, Uotinen said.
