This is how to make snow ice cream

We decided to test how to make snow ice cream.

On Some, I came across a recipe for snow ice cream that looked like a hawk. Great, at least our family loves ice cream, so without anything else you have to make it yourself. This is a nice program number for a winter trip.

At least in Southern Finland, the snow is melting with noise, so it’s about to be the last moments to test the snow ice cream.

In principle, snow ice cream is easy to make, but it takes a long time to freeze the ice cream mass. I don’t know if anyone has succeeded, but this test ice cream was eaten almost melted.

The taste is good, it has cream and sugar, but you can’t call it ice cream. In that sense, a little disappointing.

Wish versus reality. The snow ice cream didn’t turn out exactly as we hoped. Adobe Stock / AOP / Eeva Paljakka

Snow ice cream

small resealable plastic bag (0.5 l)

large resealable plastic bag (2.0 l)

table salt

snow

just under 1 dl of sugar

0.5 teaspoon vanilla sugar

0.5 dl of cream

0.5 dl of milk

OR

1 dl cream

1. Mix milk, cream, sugars in a glass.

2. Pour the ice cream mass from the glass into a smaller resealable bag. And close the bag so that there is not much air left inside.

3. Put snow and plenty of table salt in a larger resealable bag.

4. Place the smaller resealable bag inside the larger resealable bag. Add more snow and salt.

5. Shake and squeeze the bag until the salt and snow are evenly mixed. Continue shaking. The ice cream mass gradually starts to solidify.

Note! Remember that the outer edges of the ice cream bag are salty.
