Favorite artist Anna Puu has learned that she is a good mother and a good wife. She praises her husband Jukka Immos and says that the couple is good at supporting each other even in difficult situations.
Anna Puulla, 41, has had an active festival summer as a performer. He says that the summer has brought back his enthusiasm for live performances after a long time.
– There were many years when I did as few gigs as possible because I felt like I couldn’t do more, Anna tells Iltalehte.

He says that The Voice of Finland making the program has consumed a large part of the schedule and resources in recent years, and he has not wanted to push himself to the limit. The newly found love for playing live will continue over the summer and into the fall, because in November he will go on a tour that covers clubs and ship stages after a long time. Anna’s last similar tour was in 2018. The previous tour planned for concert halls was canceled due to the corona virus.
Drama behind the scenes on TV
Anna will also appear on television in the fall, when the new Only life season begins. The woman is participating in the program for the second time now. He is happy that a common spirit was found among the artists right away.
– We didn’t have any drama. In past years, it has been all kinds of things.
Anna refuses to tell what kind of drama she has experienced or heard about behind the scenes. Artists do talk about these things. Filming days are long at the Only Life camps, and according to Anna, you get no more than 15 minutes of your own time during the day in addition to sleeping. It’s no wonder if there’s a stir behind the scenes sometimes.
Many reality TV shows would emphasize dramatic moments and confrontations. However, in the “Only life” program, the editors leave the possible tensions between the participants on the editing table, because the dramas mentioned by Anna have not been put on the screen.
– That’s how you earn the artists’ trust and then they dare to be who they are. They know that if you mumble something, you can always say you don’t want it on TV, Anna says.
The flu bothered me
In addition to Anna Puu, the upcoming Only Life season will feature familiar faces from previous seasons Ellinora by Robin Packalen and Virve Rosti. There are new faces in the program AW Yrjänä, Jouni Hynynen, Janna and familiar from the band Gasellit Emergency Miikka.
There was one thing that bothered Anna this season of Only Life. He says that he had a cold during all ten days of filming.
– I was as raw as a crow there, Anna laughs.

Even though only one song a day is sung on the set, the voice does not get to rest because of the intense conversations at any point. Anna laments her bad luck.
– It would have been nice to be at your best when everything is televised. But that’s just life, that sometimes you’re in pain. Especially in our profession, we still push, even if it hurts.
Good mother
Anna Puu is a mother of two children. She now has a 13-year-old daughter from her previous relationship and a two-year-old son from her current relationship with her husband’s music producer Jukka Immonen with.
Anna says frankly that she is a good mother. It can be a big threshold for many mothers to say this.
– We mothers have unnecessarily high expectations of what a good mother is like. I don’t think I’m a bad mother if my child eats snacks even for a large part of the week.
Anna says that during her more than 13 years of motherhood, she learned to be more relaxed. She feels that her strengths as a mother are that she knows how to set boundaries and is a good listener and negotiator.
Anna is not pushing her children into the music industry, but she won’t push them away from it either, if the children have a passion for it.
– I if anyone knows that you can’t stray from it to another path if that fire exists. At the moment, it doesn’t seem like this field interests my daughter at least. She doesn’t like performing, Anna says.

Acceptance and love
Anna Puu and Jukka Immonen’s relationship deepened from co-workers to love. The two had been making music together for a long time, until in the summer of 2015, their feelings deepened and the couple finally started dating. They had a child together in May 2021, and last fall the couple got married.
The couple has learned to support each other even in stressful situations. Anna was pregnant when they renovated and moved into a new home.
– We know how to support each other very well. I state time and time again that we are a damn good team.
Arguments come and go, but underneath it all is a deep appreciation for each other.
– Jukka accepts me as I am, and not only accepts, but values and loves me. I feel that I can be exactly the way I am with my good and bad sides, says Anna.
Anna believes herself to be a good spouse for Juka. He naturally has a desire to do good things for his partner and he doesn’t, for example, “moo about for nothing”.
– If I feel that I am a good mother, I also think that I am a good wife.

“Two wonderful fathers”
In the everyday life of small children, it can be difficult to find time together as a couple. Anna is of the opinion that you can’t always organize time together outside the home, but you have to find it in everyday life as well.
– It is fortunate that our child sleeps well and goes to bed on time. We have many hours left to be alone. Even an older child shuts himself up in his own room at some point.
Time together may be spent, for example, taking a sauna or lounging on the sofa watching a series. Sometimes spending time together gets in the way of work, especially if deadlines are looming.
Anna praises Jukka very much as a father. He is happy that Jukka is quickly ready for action in any situation and can manage to fool around and be playful.
– My children have been blessed with two wonderful fathers. Both are tender and loving and not distant at all, Anna summaa.
