The perfume and how and where you spray it really matters.
Do you feel that the scent of your perfume has been wafting through the world by lunchtime or earlier?
You too probably make at least one of these mistakes, which by avoiding them could make the scent last all day. The more valuable the fragrance, the more profitable it is to use it so that the smallest amount of fragrance lasts as long as possible.
We listed the typical pitfalls with which perfume is wasted.
You spray in the wrong places
It really does matter where you spray the scent. The heat emphasizes the scents, so you should direct the sprays especially to the pulse points of the body, such as the wrists, behind the ear or the temples.
Spraying the scent on the hair also works, because the hair acts like a diffuser. When the cutters swing, the scent comes into its own.
If you put perfume on your neck, don’t forget to apply sunscreen on your décolleté and neck, especially in summer.
Perfume should not be sprayed separately or pressed on the skin. You get the best and most lasting results when you spray and just let it be.
Your skin is too dry
If the skin is dry, the perfume doesn’t smell like anything at all. So you should first moisturize the skin and only then add the fragrance.
Use an unscented body lotion, so it doesn’t clash with your perfume.
You are storing your perfume wrong
Most of us fall into this: perfume is stored in the bathroom, where the temperature sometimes rises due to the heat of the hot showers or sauna. Too warm or cold storage can ruin your perfume.
The scent can get old. If its composition, color or scent changes, you should critically assess whether the perfume is still okay. Your nose is the best judge.
Your scent is too light
Citrus, floral or otherwise green scents are quite light, and their scent does not linger on the skin for very long. If you want a more intense scent that doesn’t need to be added during the day, choose an oriental or woody scent and switch to a light toilet water to perfume.
